Social Network Quantification

Quantification is a task strictly related to Classification, yet it aims  to estimate the class distribution on new unseen instances and it fo cuses on capturing distribution drifts rather than classifying correctly individual instances. Quantification & Social Networks Problem  Given a partially node-labeled social graph infer the label distribution of the unlabeled entities. Community based Quantification Identify communities on the full graph and define some strategies to assign labels to unlabeled nodes. Ego-network based Quantification Exploit only the Ego-network of unlabeled nodes to identify the correct label.

Network Society Short Film

Information technology have a big impact on our lives. Hyperconnectivity reshapes all areas of our technology, economy and social institutions.  Hyperconnectivity is a trend in computer networking  in which all things that can or should communicate through the network will communicate through the network.  This encompasses person-to-person, person-to-machine and machine-to-machine communication. Society shapes technology according to the needs, values, and interests of people who use the technology. Furthermore, information and communication technologies are sensitive to the effects of social uses on technology itself. The big impact of the Network Society is on the sociopolitical practices.Messages no longer flow solely from the few to the many, with little interactivity. Now, messages also flow from the many to the many, multimodally and interactively. By disintermediating government and corporate control of communication, horizontal communication networks have created a ne

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision making, and translation between languages. In other words, it is the ability of machines to use algorithms to learn from data, and use what has been learned to make decisions like a human would. AI-based technologies are already being used to help humans benefit and increased efficiency in nearly every area of life. Another benefit of AI is that it will enable humankind to do things that were once thought impossible because AI will allow machines and robots to perform tasks that humans consider to be difficult, boring, or dangerous. Machine Learning Machine learning is an aspect of computer science in which computers or machines have the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed.
